Tenant Benefits - Affiliate Card

Employees of organizations occupying space within the project, as well as employees of future projects developed in the Innovation Village Research Park, have access to many of the same benefits and privileges afforded to faculty and staff. These privileges, some of which require user fees, are outlined below:

Campus Restaurants and Catering

25 food service venues on the campus welcome University Affiliate members to visit them for their dining needs.

Peet’s Coffee & Tea at CTTi welcomes Affiliates in the Innovation Village.

Affiliates will be pleased to learn about the Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch which is managed by students. Reservations are recommended and can be obtained by calling 909-869-4700.

Farm Store : The newly designed Farm Store, conveniently located at AGRIscapes on South Campus Drive south of Temple Avenue, features an enhanced line of products from the campus farm, orchards, nursery, and apiary.

University Affiliates have access to two catering services providing the campus services for meetings and conferences on a direct invoice basis:

 

Housing Assistance

Cal Poly Pomona Foundation is proud to offer affordable housing at Fair Oaks Walk within the award-winning Claremont School District. These homes, which were built in 2008, are beautifully appointed and available to affiliates based on a priority list.

Bronco Express Shuttle

Take the shuttle to the campus for lunch! Just a few minutes walk from your front door to the stop in front of Southern California Edison at Innovation Way.

All University Affiliates may use the Bronco Express Bus System around the Cal Poly Pomona Campus free of charge. Affiliates may be required to present their Affiliate Card when boarding the bus.

Access to Athletic Facilities

All University Affiliates are entitled to use the Kellogg Gym which includes use of a locker and towel. To obtain a locker, go to the Kinesiology Office (Building 44, Room 115), show your Affiliate Card, and request a locker.

Facility hours of use will vary on a quarterly basis and schedules must be checked by affiliates in advance. Fields must be reserved in advance on a fee basis.

Bronco Copy & Mail

Bronco Copy & Mail services are available on a fee basis for your marketing design needs including graphic design, logo design, digital photography, web page design, printing services, and promotional products. You may also use their convenient mail and shipping services.

The Bronco Copy & Mail is located in Building 35, front lobby.

Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex (BRIC) Membership

All University Affiliates are invited to join the Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex located in the Bronco Commons next to the Student Center.

The 165,000 square foot fitness center was recently contructed with state of the art facilities. The comprehensive fitness center is professionally staffed and features the following:

• Extensive Machine Equipment
• Leisure and lap pool with 10 lap lanes
• 53' climbing wall with a 13' bouldering wall
•5 multipurpose fitness studios
•3-court gymnasium and multi-activity court
•2 racquetball courts
•Indoor jogging track
•Free weight, functional training, and cardio fitness areas
•Jamba Juice bar with service windows inside the BRIC, outside the front of the BRIC, and outside the pool deck

Monthly membership fees are discounted for basic gym membership.

Enrollment in University Courses

The CEU offers University Affiliates access to convenient enrollment in courses and continuing education classes on a space-available fee basis.

Affiliates interested in pursuing coursework and degree programs at Cal Poly Pomona are required to apply the same as all other students. University fees apply.

Intramural Sports Program

University Affiliates are able to participate in the Cal Poly Pomona Bronco Intramural Sports Program in the same capacity as campus faculty/staff.

KW Conference Center and Lodge

Cal Poly Pomona has a wonderful 85-room hotel and conference center capable of handling conferences of 300 people. Kellogg West Conference Center and Hotel sits on a quiet, picturesque hilltop surrounded by lush greenery, and overlooks W.K. Kellogg’s former ranch estate and the scenic San Bernardino Mountains. With its serene atmosphere and attractive views, Kellogg West is ideal not only for conferences, but for weddings, reunions, and other special events.  Rooms and facilities are available to University Affiliates at special rates. Reservations can be made at 909-869-2222.

Kellogg West also provides an excellent dining room. Reservations are requested. Call 909-869-2250.

Kellogg House

Kellogg House is the perfect venue for weddings, corporate meetings, birthday parties, reunions, and other special events.  Built in 1926, Kellogg House is a spacious ranch-style estate that exudes historical charm. Kellogg House can accommodate groups of up to 200 people comfortably.  For more information or to schedule a tour, call 909.869.2919.

Library Privileges

Some library privileges are already available to the general public.  An annual visitor's card may be purchased at a 33% discount price for affiliates to use for book check-out at the Cal Poly Pomona library. For all special requests, fees may apply for services similar to fees applicable to faculty/staff on a “time available only basis.”

The Children's Center

The Children’s Center services are available to all University Affiliates on a space-available fee basis for children of affiliates ages 2 to 5. Fees apply.

University Athletic Events

University Affiliates can purchase tickets to all Bronco sporting events at the faculty/staff discount upon presentation of their Affiliate Card. Contact the Athletics Department for additional information at 909-896-2810.

CPP University Bookstore Privileges

University Affiliates have access to the Bronco Bookstore with benefits similar to faculty and staff. University Affiliates do not, however, receive academic discounts on software and computer products that are available to students. CPP University Concerts, Plays, Art Gallery

University Affiliates are invited to purchase tickets to performing arts events at Cal Poly Pomona presented through the Music Department or the Theatre Department. University Affiliates are eligible for the faculty/staff discount on tickets when available. Contact the box office at 909-869-3800.

Affiliate Card Policies

•Your Affiliate Card is for your personal use only
•Your Affiliate Card being used by another person may result in confiscation and/or loss of your privileges.
•Suitable forms of photo identification may be needed in addition to your Affiliate Card to access some services.
•Your Affiliate Card number will be printed on the face of your card and stored in the Innovation Village Research Park Affiliate database.
•Eligible affiliates will be issued their first Affiliate Card free of charge. All card holders will pay a $35 replacement fee for lost cards.
•The Affiliate Card may be used to store electronic dollars. The Affiliate Card can be used for making purchases at locations on campus that accept Bronco Bucks* for payment, such as vending machines, bookstore, dining locations, and the Farm Store. Money on Affiliate Cards should be used in full before you leave employment at the Innovation Village Research Park.
•Use of facilities and services are subject to the rules and regulations of each unit and service may be refused at the discretion of management.

* A Bronco Bucks account is a declining balance account used like a debit card. You deposit money into the account and these funds can be spent using your Affiliate Card at most campus dining and store locations. This account allows fast, convenient, and cashless transactions on campus.
